the holy blanket part 2

So if you've read "the holy blanket" you know Grant likes to sleep with a blanket over his head. Last night an hour after putting Grant to sleep he started to cry. It was unusual but he wasn't all that loud so Tim and I, as the great parents we are, just let him sort it out on his own. He soon fell back to sleep. Before I went to bed I snuck in to check on him like I always do. When I saw him I understood his cries - he obviously couldn't get the blanket (tucked into the bottom of the crib) pulled over his head far enough. But he's a smart one and he managed to get around it.

Per request of Mrs. C here's some pictures of us! We went up to Donner Lake on Saturday (after the little storm but before the big storm) and did some skiing and picture taking. I thought my face would freeze off when we stopped on the shore but other then that...good times.

the holy blanket

When Grant sleeps he doesn't want anything to disturb him so he immediately covers his face with the blanket. Luckly we have a "holy" blanket his aunt Faith made him. I still usually tuck it in at the bottom so I can sleep better knowing he's breathing but last night I gave in. When he woke up at 3am screaming I didn't want to give him his pacifier but I felt I should try to appease him with something. I decided he'd probably be happier smothered so I untucked the blanket. He was covered and dreaming in 4 minutes. All I can say is praise the Lord for blankets with holes! Oh, and don't tell our doctor...or social services...so far we let him play with bags and sleep under his covers.

my valentine surprise

Addition: So I just heard from a friend that she was confused about the vandalism. These girls didn't just up and decide to prance around outside of our apartment in the middle of the night. I (Abby) hired them for the job to embarrass (and love) Tim. It worked.

Props to my vandalism buddies. Check it out.
