i want to speak with a manager

I don't know if it's the fact that I'm getting older, or that I have my own business, or that I'm just fed up, but I get the itch to speak with a manager once a week now. Once in a while for good things but often - like tonight - for bad. And the funny thing is I can't yell at people. I am not a yeller! I do not confront, I just hide and swallow my anger when it comes to businesses lacking.

Office Depot in Reno has put me over the top a few times. Can I write an e-mail to the manager? I think I could sound mean in a e-mail. And I'd say which one - except they all suck. Well I guess I don't know South Reno OD that well. They were lacking in customer service before but now they lack AND lock the ink so I can't get it without tracking some one down. And tonight the person I was asking for help didn't hear my ask THREE TIMES because she was using her "service headphones" to make jokes across the store to her buddies. Good grief! Can't wait for Staples to come to town. At least Staples has a website that works!

And I'll also say Vista Print has made TERRIBLE magnets and shorted me product three times in a row. They wouldn't even let me talk to a manager but at least I got what I wanted.....except that I wanted what I ordered when I ordered it.

I guess I don't want people to chew me out when I make a mistake but at least I try for my customers - these people are NOT trying.

So there's my angry rant for the year. Thanks for listening even though you are not the manager.

aunts are great

a work by aunt Kateri of Grant commemorating her visit. It was SO sad to drop her at the airport. Grant LOVES his aunts. They make funny faces and when they sleep over the air mattress gets blown up and it's jumpin' time!

I've added some new pictures on our shutterfly page too. There's some good pictures of extreme snowshoe sledding. Extreme because half way through the trip I pulled a push pin out of my boot... and the snow was little icy.

Yesterday was one of the most exciting days in a long time. It was my (abby's) city league volleyball teams first game! I haven't played indoor volleyball in quite a few years. The last time I played I actually broke my ankle! This time just a few bruises and the sorest legs ever. I work an absurd amount these days! It got me remembering that I should move every once in a while. Mid game I thought...."I can't move my legs anymore, what do I do?"

And besides the volleyball in itself I get to build some new relationships and make old ones stronger. I have a great team. We did lose our first game - to some short obese women - but we're all very rusty and the format was rushed, loud, and cramped. I think we'll get into the swing of things here soon and when we play them again we're gonna crush em! I gotta get some knee pads and work on my hops...I have NONE especially on a men's net.

my hope for you

My hope is that everyone uses Blistex Complete Moisture. As far as chap stick goes, there is no other.

You can learn a lot about a person by their prayers. Sometimes I shy away from praying with Tim because I don't want him to see the deep things, and especially not the shallow things, in me. Grant is now starting to pray all by himself and I love to see what's important to his little heart.

"Dear God,
Thank you for Beba (grandma)
Thank you for fishes (grandma's new fish game)
Thank you for Papa (grandpa)
Thank you for train (Papa's Christmas train set)
