orange delight

I've still been blending away with my Breville. Grant and I drink our "special green juice" just about everyday - sometimes twice a day. And now I'm adding in a new dietary supplement - the Orange Julius!! Don't laugh - you knew I couldn't be all healthy all the time - it's still me we're talking about!

Here's a great recipe I found from this guy

6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
8-9 ice cubes

It's a bit sweet so you may want to skimp on the concentrate and vanilla just a tad.

Uh Oh - now I want one right now.

28 weeks pregnant with my little girl -
we still need to pick a name, we're confusing Grant.

moving

Well, sadly, our house is going on the market next week - don't be mad - we didn't tell anyone really. We just finally made the decision and it may take two to eight months before we actually move into a new place. I'm having to trust in God and be a grown up. I LOVE my house and our street. I can't believe I'll really have to leave it! But out of the deal I'm getting a precious little baby and I'm letting my husband go for his goals. There surely will be more changes coming - I guess there always are, but with us they can be larger then I would wish. So we're trusting in the Lord for our future. Maybe He knows I don't want to settle down even though I REALLY feel like I want to.

I think looking at these pictures (by the fabulous Tim) we should maybe clean up the fridge magnets/pictures. And that's my beautiful new blender on top of the fridge. I've been using it 3 times a day!

oh, and as seen in the bathroom picture I also got new grass green towels and a fresh shower curtain out of the deal as well. We've had a metallic yellow and orange circus tent for the last 4 years.

green drinks

With the baby on the way I've been craving juice > which in turn led to me re-looking up my friend's advice on the "green smoothie" > which in turn made me try a juicer > which in turn made me want a $500 Vitamix > which in turn made my husband not like me very much > which in turn made us compromise and find a gift from God - a floor model Breville blender > and now I drink green once or twice a day and hoard vegetables like a rabbit who just broke up with her boyfriend (so an overeating rabbit).

I just whipped up a great apple, kale, celery, carrot, yogurt smoothie for dessert. My most green colored smoothie so far which Grant got quite the kick out of.

Product review - ikon Hemisphere™ LCD Blender - So far I give the Breville blender 5 stars for turning carrots, kale, spinich, ice, celery, apples, and more into perfectly drinkable smoothie/juice. The Vitamix no doubt must also rock and may last a lot longer but I'm happy with my Breville for now and I'm digging the juice! - good job Aussies.
