Here's my itty bitty in real time for those aunts and uncles, and great aunts and uncles who can't just pop in and see her.

snaily

I got a tip from a friend on facebook that I may be able to clean the fish bowl less if I added a snail to the mix - so I got one immediately. I hate cleaning the fish bowl! I know, it only takes 6 minutes, but still. Enter our new pet....well, he doesn't have a name so we'll just call him Snaily.

Grant hugged the bag. He asked if the snail could sleep with him. And together we starred at the bowl for a good 15 minutes saying in our tiny voices, "come out snail". I made a little lid for the bowl so he hopefully won't crawl out and die. So far so good!

sleeping

Maybe I just have a good one but, infants rock.
This was Calli's morning with me:

Eat
fall asleep on the floor
I wake her up to put her in her car seat
she falls asleep in the car
I wake her up at the store to put her in the Bjorn
she falls asleep
I wake her up to put her back in the car
she falls asleep
I wake her up and put her in the bike trailer
Grant and I go around the block
she stays awake! and she's happy
Eat

My new approach since she's never very happy being awake - just keep putting her to bed! It seems to be working and she's only doing better out of her basket and in her big girl crib. Good girl Calli.

As Seen on TV - Heel-Tastic

I confess now that I like As Seen on TV products. I do! And now as I feed Calli in the middle of the night I'm seeing them all. Don't they look amazing!? Well, the little voice of my mother inside me tells me none of these products work but I'm rebelling against that voice.

Today I'm giving a shout out to the As Seen on TV product - Heel-Tastic. Many of you out there know I have the worst dry heels ever! They crack and start to hurt with every step by mid-summer. Finally fed-up (while laying around after my c-section) I sent Tim to get me some Heel-Tastic at Walgreens. I went from sore and yucky cracked heels to soft pretty skin in about 4 weeks. And when I say cracked I mean seriously deep cracks that I've had for years! The first two weeks I put it on about every three hours (when nursing Calli), I may have gone a little overboard but I was excited! Now I try to use it once a day when I'm watching TV. You should add some scrubbing in the shower but I totally recommend Heel-tastic if you have any dry heel problems. It works, it rolls on like deodorant so you don't have to touch it, and you can pick it up at most drug stores. Now we know - that's a good one!

Next I want to try the As Seen on TV Bra attachment that crosses the straps.

my beauty

I call Calli a "two face". I believe that's what Seinfeld named it. Sometimes she's very weird looking but other times she's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. After 35 bad face shots here's the beauty. Mother's day 2010 in her ruffled halter top. I bought it for her before she was born. When I saw it in the store I had to have it, I knew she'd be adorable.

sac weekend

We got to get out of here for a bit! Last weekend was Tim's long time friend's wedding. Dan and Heidi are awesome people, missionaries in Cambodia in fact, home base in Yuba City. We only made it to the last few minutes of the wedding because of an ammonia spill on the freeway ahead of us...and construction on the other one. Needless to say we were not happy! But we heard the vows and saw the kiss and made it to all of the reception - I even fit in some tears.

In our extra time we went to the zoo and old town sac. I know the sacramento zoo is tiny and lacks some frills but I've always had a good time there - because I brings kids and they are always so amazed. A few years ago Tim and I brought our nephews and niece. Last weekend we got to bring our own kids! Plus, two of Tim's sisters joined us this time making it even better. The weekend set back my incision recovery a little (thankfully I got some antibiotics for that) but it was really fun....well trying to sleep 4 in a hotel room with the baby crying like a siren is not fun but the rest of the weekend was. I happen to love being with my little family - we are blessed!
